Uncomfortable Sleeping Positions, and the Annoying Season of Summer

I’m a zombie and a bitch in the mornings, but those aren’t as bad as my memory.

I was pretty much groggy all day today, but I still managed to finish the last half of my book, Tales of the Madman Underground by John Barnes.
I was still fluttering with excitement when I finished it; the book was amazing. Several twists and turns, shocking events, and hilarious moments; you’d never guess the outcomes to each crazy happening. I loved this book so much; I finished the last half of it in one evening. I also loved the fact that the book was set in late 1973; I got a good feel of what it was like growing up back then.
That just about filled up my day, but after I finished it, I turned on my laptop to log it; and then got caught up in checking other things.
No new photos of Johnny Depp, so I moved on to play around on Super Poke Pets; lastly, I spent a little more time on Tumblr than I wanted to (as usual), but I was trying to customize my blog to perfection. I finally got it, then continued to browse Tumblr.

I had a hard time taking a nap today.
I have four pets: 1 bird, 1 dog, and 2 cats. First comes one cat (one that isn’t usually affectionate, but all of a sudden has a change of personality), then comes the dog (Jack Russell Terrier, who takes up most of the twin bed sprawled out in the middle anyway), and then comes the second cat (the one that is always by my side), but after her, I’m like WTF? Trying to sleep here! I can’t even begin to tell you how awkward of a position I had to conform to. I love animals, so my nap didn’t last very long.
I took pictures of the adorable pets, and I must say, Cleopatra is a very photogenic kitty.

Now that summer is here, I am miserable, and will be until the next season (which might have to be two, considering the Texas heat).
I’m already being chased by wasps, and sometimes even bees!
First come the annoying, and obnoxiously loud kids who discover Pop Snappers. All day long, SNAP! SNAP! SNAP!
Then come the wasps surrounding the front door and following me everywhere I go, making me look like a lunatic as I hop around, screaming, and waving my arms around like a lunatic.
Then comes the heat. As hot as 105 degrees Fahrenheit.
And then the ants and bees.
So I don’t leave the house, unless it’s ABSOLUTELY necessary. Lately I’ve only left to replace milk, pick up some library books, go to see a movie at the cinema (especially if Johnny Depp is involved), or attend a doctor’s appointment.
People think I’m crazy, but so are the wasps. I mean, what is their purpose? Torment people with phobias?
To hell with all of them and their insect buddies.

Also,
My 18th birthday was fun with memorable gifts, and just overall a great day spent with my mom.

Usual Problems, and Other Weird Things

My memory can’t make up its mind. Sometimes it’s good to me, and sometimes it’s its usual self; useless.
So far, I still can’t remember a book I looked at a couple years ago, but never read; and a car commercial from about maybe two years ago. I can’t remember if the car was an Infinity, or a Lexus; but I’m pretty sure it was an Infinity. I’d like to save the video to my favorites on Youtube.
Speaking of Youtube favorites, I have had quite a few laughs this week:
Laughing Gas
White House Correspondents’ Dinner Part 1 and Part 2
Angry Girl
Bla Bla Bla music video
Couch Airbag Prank
“Fake it”
How to speak English (Charlie McDonnell one of my favorite Youtubers)
Corporate song and dance
Cat vs. Treadmill
With Child (Julian Smith one of my favorite Youtubers)
Dad life
Swedish self-cleaning toilet
Crazy commentary about Justin Beiber getting egged
Phone commercial spoof (George Watsky is awesome)
And probably more by now; so yeah, that’s been fun.

My dreams have actually been crazy nightmares that are getting annoying and scaring the shit out of me at the same time.
I used to have nightmares about Godzilla chasing me, ever since I was seven. Then I started having nightmares about a Dementor (from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) sucking the life out of me over my bed, when I was twelve or thirteen. Lately I’ve been having nightmares about ants attacking me in my bed, but that’s just because I’ve been seeing carpenter ants all over the place (floor, walls, and the CEILING). Just the other night I had a nightmare about a fire-breathing dragon chasing me; this thing was about the size of Godzilla if not bigger. It blew fire like a tornado. This really scared the shit out of me.
I have a book that interprets my dreams the old fashioned way, but every time I looked up the meaning of my dreams, I got nothing but bad news. So I’m avoiding it.

I’ve been looking for this dictionary for a while; but I went to this Scholastic book fair at the university a couple days ago and picked this up. Probably a mistake, because I’ve come across several words that are not in this dictionary. I want a dictionary that defines every word in the English language. Is there such a dictionary? I guess I’ll keep looking around. I’m trying to broaden my vocabulary, and work on my memory at the same time. Plus I like reference books. This website has everything I could ever need, and I love it. I also subscribe to their word of the day updates, and I downloaded their Blackberry app. They should come out with a book if they haven’t already.

I guess I have been cyber stalking Johnny Depp. I didn’t realize it until today. If I can’t get to where he is filming, I gather information (pictures, video, etc.) from my fellow fans on their awesome up-to-date websites. So, I never miss a thing. I have a list of fan websites I check daily, and I even get updates to my phone. I’m going to watch the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides premier live tonight, much thanks to Jerry Bruckheimer.
I’ve been too lazy to make a video of all the photos I’ve been collecting lately; but I explained this to my subscribers on Youtube, so hopefully they don’t mind, and will just check my Flickr album. It takes a lot of work to make a video and upload it to Youtube; it’s really a pain in the ass.

Lately I’ve been reading The Dog Walker by Leslie Schnur, and trying to maintain my inbox. My mom has been spamming it with articles that “I should check out”. I swear she emails me over ten articles a day. The problem is, while she’s on a computer 24hrs a day, I’m reading a book 24hrs a day. I am constantly interrupted every day by my grandmother’s calls, so I downloaded a custom ringtone for her. It’s perfect.

Bad Day

Today was….eventful. I didn’t even leave the house.
It was around noon when I decided to get up. I came out of my room and was headed for the kitchen to have my routine breakfast (Honey Nut Cheerios), when one of my cats caught my eye. It was Jade; she was by the front door playing with something. It looked like she was torturing something actually. Sure enough, Jade was playing with a monster ant (approximately the size of half a thumb). I freaked out (one of my many fears is insects); when I say freaked out, I mean I was having a panic attack. I was surprisingly brave enough to grab several paper towels and squish it against the door; the damn thing wouldn’t die though. I repeated the process about five more times until finally it stopped moving. Once that was over, and I disposed of the monster, I was trying to calm myself down to have some cereal, when I see an ant crawling on the ceiling. This time involved screaming and jumping around. My mom took her dear sweet time in coming to my rescue, but finally she came and stood on a chair to squish the ant. It was about ten minutes when I finally calmed down to have my bowl of cereal.
I went back in my room to try and relax. About an hour after the ant incident, I was doing some Sudoku puzzles when my mom suddenly started shouting “GET THE BROOM!!!” repeatedly from the living room. My anxiety started to build up again because I knew exactly why she wanted the broom; I knew this time it was worse than the ants. I found the broom and tossed it to her, meanwhile looking for the wasp. There it was, red and big as ever, flying around the living room. My mom was trying to beat it with a broom, while I went in search of the Raid I hoped we still had. Thankfully it was a brand new can. I used all of it on the wasp. The damn thing wouldn’t die either. After I used all the Raid and the wasp started to fall to the floor, I got the broom and beat the rest of the shit out of it. The broom bent in two, but the wasp was dead. My mom was rinsing our dog (Caity) under the faucet sink; I had accidentally sprayed her a little bit while trying to kill the wasp. She’s fine now; nice and clean.
The floor was soaked in Raid, and since we have several curious pets, I had to scrub the floor. It’s better now, but I can’t say the same for the walls and ceiling.

I did Sudoku puzzles for the rest of the day, and now I’m in bed, once again, trying to relax.
This day has been horrible. All I want now is a plastic bubble, so I can be safe and know that I am safe.
For the past several weeks, I have had terrible things happen to me every Friday. Something bad always happens on Friday. I don’t know why. Aren’t Fridays supposed to be fun? Now I dread Fridays.

These insects are out to get me, and nobody believes me.
I need to stock up on some more Raid cans…
